WHAT TO DONATE

 ALL donations of any goods are welcome and appreciated and ALL will get utilized in our store to help fuel The Center or passed on to a fellow organization that supports our community. Please read below to find out what items will make the biggest impact for those under the trans umbrella.

GENDER EXPRESSION TOOLS
Any/all gender expression tools/prosthetics/forms of both masculine & feminine are our number one requested item. Those donated that are too worn or unable to be reused will be used for display/educational purposes. Please keep in mind that gender expression tools can encompass almost too many things to list here that are not an undergarment. Some of these items such as new/unused makeup, neckties and even purses/wallets can all be considered gender expression tools and are always welcome donations.

UNDERGARMENTS
Socks, underwear & bras of all types, to include jock straps and shapewear (spanx, corset, bustier etc)

CLOTHING

Larger sized women’s clothing

Smaller sized men’s clothing

*Note that ALL clothing donations are welcome but these listed above are the most frequently requested by our community.

WIGS/HAIRPIECES

These do not need to be clean/styled or any specific style/color to be donated. We have a professional cosmetologist on our team who cleans, conditions, repairs and styles these for us.

PERSONAL ELECTRONICS
These may be cell phones, computers (laptop or desktop) tablets and any chargers/cases/booklets/accessories that accompany. They do not need to be functioning to be donated. We have in house repair/refurb to wipe them, make minor repairs and reload new operating systems so they can be utilized by folks for job search/resume efforts. These are provided at the same price point options as our other goods.

*WHERE TO TAKE GOODS DONATIONS*

For large items/large amounts please use the following methods to setup a pickup with us! A large amount that would qualify for a pickup would be more than you could fit in a pickup truck. If you have a special need in getting a donation to us please contact us with your request. We try to be as accommodating as possible.

For small items/amounts please use the above listed contact methods to setup a drop-off time atThe Umbrella Resource Center and Thrift Store located at 5126 Broadway, Unit J, Haltom City, Texas, 76117. We are available most anytime you need by appointment. Coordinating a drop-off is required though to ensure someone is there to receive. Donations left outside are a violation of our lease agreement.
